FACTS ABOUT ORPHANS

One of the biggest factors contributing to the number of orphans in Uganda has been the HIV AIDS pandemic. Millions of orphans in Uganda lost one of their parents to the virus and millions to both. AIDS affect orphans rates by varying Degrees, in Urban centres that have access to better medical care, it is less of problem. However in more rural areas, AIDS is more wide spread.
